JFK (1991) – Original UK Quad – Oliver Stone / Kevin Costner

Original UK Quad cinema poster for JFK (1991), directed by Oliver Stone. Starring Kevin Costner as District Attorney Jim Garrison, with Kevin Bacon, Tommy Lee Jones, Laurie Metcalf, Gary Oldman, Michael Rooker, Jay O. Sanders, and Sissy Spacek. Music by John Williams; cinematography by Robert Richardson. A Warner Bros. presentation, produced by A. Kitman Ho and Oliver Stone. Cert 15.

Powerful and immediately recognisable artwork — Costner’s face rendered in deep blood-red tones against a torn American flag, with newspaper headlines reading “Kennedy Is Shot to Death / Assassin in Dallas” tearing through the design. Tagline: “The Story That Won’t Go Away.” Text on the reverse: “He’s a District Attorney. He will risk his life, the lives of his family, everything he holds dear, for the one thing he holds sacred… the truth.”
